*****

My name is Patrick Green and I am from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island in Canada. I have been collecting comics since age 10, which means 28 years worth. I have my own man cave in the basement decorated with art work I have picked up at Fan Expo in Toronto over the last six years. I started at age 10 with G.I. Joe but have since branched into X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman, etc. I’m also a huge movie buff and dabble a bit with action figures. The comic bin holding a majority of my collection was custom made for a comic book store (Outlands) that I worked for as a teen.

impressive collection love how you even managed to get a display case from a comic book store to house some of it . plus love all the art work hanging around including the one of destro and the baroness being lovey dovey

There’s a whole boatload of beautiful stuff there, Patrick – congrats and kudos! Lovely displays of your autographed pieces, as well. Call me a sentimentalist, but I like that your autographs are personalised – it really does, in my opinion, add to a collection making it less about cash money value and more about one’s love for the work/character/creator.

Your single-issue comic racks are gorgeous, also. Nice pick-up!

interesting to see , with the X-men 2 poster, that Famke Janssen is not shown. But Halle Berry gets a bigger headshot. Guess she was still a star back then.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!
Sean – I always get my autographs personalized. I agree with you. All of the framed artwork is signed and personalized to me, even if you can’t quite see it in the photo.

That artwork of the alien is great (the one with a print run of 200), who’s the artist?

Awesome collection of artwork! The spawn action figure is pretty cool. Though i would take down the starwars ep 3 poster :) All i see is Image and Marvel, not a fan of DC?

Hi Steve. That sketch is of Mr. Freeze done by Greg Capullo (Batman artist) I received last year at Fan Expo in Toronto. I waited in line for 2 hours as he was only giving out 200 sketches to people in line for his autograph session. thanks

Hi Khalid. LOL on the EP3 poster – it was the only one I was ever to get my hands and have dry mounted. I do have a little DC – Supes, Batman, etc. But mainly Marvel I guess. What do you collect?

Nice Patrick. Also nice to see an Islander here. My folks are both Islanders.

Grwat collection, Patrick! Cool to see an Atlantic Canadian have their collection featured (I’m in Halifax) – well done.

Great, not “grwat” – though I’m sure you got my drift.

Nice collection. Is that a signed copy of Bryan Adams Waking Up The Neighbors? I listened to that CD plenty while I was in college. Very cool.

Nice collection. I like the single issue bin that you have. A lot of nice art on the walls too. Is that a movie theater seat or is it from a stadium?

thanks Marc and Murch! Proud to be from PEI and the Maritimes.

JP – that is a genuine movie theatre seat. I used to work for a Movie Theatre company and that was a demo/sample. its perfect to relax and read comics in.

DL – yes that is a signed copy rom Bryan Adam, good eye! Great CD,,,

I have a nice collection of some 15k comics gathering dust in the attic. Probably the largest collection in Pakistan but dont know how to display it. Cant even get long (or short) boxes here. Have to custom make the back boards too since they arent available here and shipping from US is costly. On the flip side did have a solid wooden cabinet made to store the new stuff. I get nearly all DC monthly solicitations shipped here,, Cant live without them but dont know where to keep them :)
