Joker medieval armor will make you wish Gotham had a Ren faire

I’m simultaneously fascinated and terrified by this incredible medieval-style Joker leather armor crafted by Prince Armory to unnerve attendees at the next Renaissance faire. It’s composed of: “Jester’s Helmet with Joker Mask, Breastplate, Drama Face Pauldrons, Breastplate, Jester’s War Skirt, Cuisses/Knees/Greaves, Articulated Jester Shoe Sabatons.”

No price is listed, but I’ll go out on a limb and say it’ll set you back a lot.

It’s cool, no doubt… but have Ren Faires become extensions of Comic Con now?

(Not that I should talk. The last one I went to was in the 90’s, and the jousting event was definitely taking its cue from the WWE. One guy in particular played up the People’s Elbow.)

Well, as it follows that one came before the other, you’d have to ask also, is Comic Con simply an extension of Ren Faire?

I think it’s the whole, left brain vs. right brain discussion. If I do that, it will morph into a full blown article for my site, so, I’ll stop here.

Could double as Yoshimitsu armor. Like… in soulcalibur…

Looks like Shaco from League of Legends.

This looks like it would be perfect for DCU online. Looks like the high level gear.

El Santo…This could be used in the German Gothic period of history. Check out Emperor Maximillion I (1473-1531) his armor was fashioned out of metal in the hack and slash style of his Landsknecht army. There are also many Helms with grusome faces even ones with glasses and a moustache. This can be used at Ren Faires, SCA, comic con whatever the case I say good job and keep up the great work!!!!

Just an FYI, Ren faires predate cons and WWE. They started in 1963. Comic and Sci/fi fantasy and gaming const didn’t take off till 1967 when GenCon got really rolling.

Worldcon, or more formally The World Science Fiction Convention, is a science fiction convention held each year since 1939 (except for the years 1942 to 1945, during World War II). It is the annual convention of the World Science Fiction Society (or WSFS). The members of each Worldcon are the members of WSFS and vote both to select the site of the Worldcon two years later and (since 1955) to select the winners of the Hugo Awards, which are presented at the convention.

That’d be a quote from Wiki. Your Ren faires are quite a few years newer than SF/F conventions.
