Howard the Duck gets POP! vinyl bobblehead

In the wake of Funko’s adorable “Dancing Groot” POP! vinyl bobblehead toy, inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy, another somewhat obscure Marvel character is about to get a POP! treatment of his own. As revealed this afternoon on Twitter by Marvel’s Ryan Penagos, Howard the Duck will make his POP! vinyl debut later this year. While the release date isn’t available, it’s likely Funko will reveals details later this week, along with more information on Dancing Groot.

Bringing on Howard the Duck for a POP! Vinyl certainly makes sense: The character made a cameo in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy, voiced by Seth Green. And considering that Guardians is on track to become the highest-grossing film of 2014 in the United States, it’s likely there will soon be a lot more people hoping to get their hands on a Howard bobblehead.

Dancing Groot and Howard the Duck will continue Funko’s popular line of Marvel POP! figures. Howard the Duck is the 64th figure, while Dancing Groot will be the 65th. It’s likely both are part of a greater Guardians of the Galaxy-themed wave of POP! bobbleheads.

Really? We couldn’t get a Hawkeye or a Falcon one, and we had to wait until Captain America 2 for a Black Widow one, but we can get a Howard the Duck one?

That Rocks! Must have for me!!!

Is there a property that has turned down Funko yet? It seems as if they have every license imaginable.

Can we please get Black Panther and Captain Marvel?

interesting Disney must have finaly let not only howard make a cameo film wise but now since he did not get any in his heyday some howard merch hope its the first of much more howard the duck love.

Howard the duck is marvel not Disney

Disney owns Marvel now JC. Disney has started putting their logo on the new Star Wars toys and products coming out, it is only a matter of time before we start seeing it on Marvel product as well.
