What if Wes Anderson directed an X-Men movie?

Patrick Willems isn’t the first to wonder what a Wes Anderson-directed X-Men movie might be like, but he may be the first to use that as the premise for his own short film.

While you can quibble with some of the acting, Willems has Anderson’s visual style down pat, from the symmetrical compositions and the use of miniatures to the font choice (Futura) and slow-motion shots.

Speaking of miniatures, be sure to take a closer look at Xavier’s mansion, built by set designer Benjamin Mackrell. Watch the short and the behind-the-scenes video below.

That was awesome.

It was also more proof that no matter what kind of X-Men movie anyone makes, there will be Wolverine, and he will be awesome.

About the “movie”–

Yeah, that’s about right…

Loved the Wolverine cameo!!
