100 meter tall Starkiller Base built in Abu Dhabi to honor ‘The Force Awakens’

A company called twofour54 in Abu Dhabi has altered a building to look like the Starkiller Base from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Abu Dhabi was of course used by director J.J. Abrams for the set of Jakku in the film.

Standing 100-meters tall, the building covers 17,000 square meters of surface area. It’s currently being used as the headquarters for a company called Aldar.

Check out the video below, which showcases Abu Dhabi’s impressive Starkiller tribute:

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is in theaters now.

Gawd damn that’s gay.

Starkiller base was a _PLANET_.

Printing an image of said planet on the side of a building doesn’t make that building a _PLANET_, nor does it turn the building into a model of the _PLANET_.

Go back and try again.

They sure love wasting money out there.

Just went by this today. Moved out here from California. They finally finished putting up the image overlay recently. That building stands out already being a circle. Thanks for posting the video!
