Artist transforms Disney Princesses into iconic X-Men

If there isn’t an animated television special or Marvel miniseries already in development recasting the Disney Princesses as X-Men, then someone’s not doing their jobs.

San Francisco-based illustrator Diego Gómez has done just that, transforming movie images of such beloved Disney characters as Cinderella, Pocahontas and Snow White into such iconic Marvel mutants as Emma Frost, Psylocke and Jubilee.

He doesn’t stop there, however, as he draws upon stills from Aladdin, Mulan, The Princess and the Frog and more. My favorite may be Alice (of Alice in Wonderland fame) as Magik, although I don’t think she’s actually a Disney Princess. I’m not going to argue, though.

You can check out more of Gomez’s work on his website. He’s also posted videos of his process for some of the pieces.

Alice was one of the “Princesses of Heart” in “Kingdom Hearts”, so she is a princess in that way.

A few of these (Rogue, Psylocke and Storm) are really good. The others, not so much.

There is something very, very creepy about this. Especially the Magik one.

I knew Jean would be Ariel lol

Why is Pocahontas Psylocke and not Mulan? I mean sure Chinese =/= Japanese, but it’d be better than her being a white character.

also: Why is the Arabian princess the only villain?

I can’t believe how much I love this.

Magik/Alice one is my favourite.

Wow, someone else made the Disney Princesses into comic characters….

Nice renderings.

@fas-BTW Pocahontas isn’t a white character, she’s Native American. Also Psylocke is a Brit (as in a citizen of the crown) who was body swapped with Kwannon who was Japanese.

Pocahontas isn’t a princess.

How the hell is Pocahontas not a princess?

Pocahontas IS a princess. Her father is the village’s chief which equals a king

@fas

You suck.

Shut up.

Actually, you should quit. Pocahontas IS a princess because she’s officially part of the Disney Princess franchise (which includes, princess and heroines alike) and is considered as such by Disney.

amanda is a moron

Dumbass amanda ended up proving the opposite.

She’s the female protagonist, like the other princesses that ARE princesses, & a heroine but NOT herself a princess.

Keep digging that hole, moron.
