‘Star Wars’ fan film ‘Rebel Scum’ takes us back to Hoth

The Battle of Hoth in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back ended with the Alliance forced to abandon Echo Base and scatter its fleet across the galaxy. Odds are that, in the confusion, at least some Rebels were left behind.

“Rebel Scum,” a new fan film from Blood Brother Cinema, tells the story of one pilot stranded in enemy territory following the crash of his snowspeeder. Cut off from the Alliance, and desperate to return to his family, Echo 12 uses his wits to avoid capture and a frozen death.

It’s a sold film, shot on location in Alberta, Canada. “‘Rebel Scum’ pays homage to the original Star Wars trilogy,” the filmmakers explain. “Nearly all visual effects were created without the use of CGI, using time honored methods such a stop-motion animation.”

There was an old marvel issue, from memory, where Wedge had a similar problem.

I thought that was a really good job.

I would have asked that snowtrooper to marry me.

There’s a ;eon Sadler comic that has the same plot, they’ve swapped the empie to alliance and added the swap of uniform ending but even some of the dialogue is the same. I wonder if he had anything to do with it?
