"Justice League": Exploring How Superman Returns (Again)
Comic Books, Film
After first embracing the Dark Side with official Star Wars watches inspired by Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers and Imperial pilots, Nixon has decided to join the Jedi with its special Light Side Collection.
There are three timepieces (so far) in the series, based on R2-D2, C-3PO and the Jedi.
The R2-D2 watch ($125) is designed to appear as if you’re viewing the top of the little droid, with a red crown that mimics his holographic projector and case back art depicting Artoo and the words “Beep Boop.” C-3PO ($250), meanwhile, features embossed dial rings that duplicate the protocol droid’s chest detail, exposed mid-section wires, a triple-gasket crown and case back art with Threepio’s head and the words “This Is Madness.” And then there’s the more rugged Jedi watch ($350), with copper dial details from Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber, a Jedi-inspired insignia, a Light Side vs. Dark Side date chrono subdial, and case back art featuring a lightsaber and the phrase “Trust Your Instincts.”
