Mezco’s Captain America figure looks ready for combat

While most of the Captain America action figures unveiled lately are tied to Marvel Studios films — Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War — Mezco Toyz is bucking the trend with this new addition to its impressive One:12 Collective series.

The first in Mezco’s Marvel lineup, this figure is firmly rooted in the comic books, from the chain mail-style costume to the unmasked Steve Rogers portrait.

Featuring 32 points of articulation, the collectible comes with a shield (with magnetic attachments so it can be carried on Cap’s gauntlets or harness), interchangeable palms, standard helmet and unmasked Steve Rogers portraits, a knife (there’s a sheath on a boot), a grenade set, interchangeable pouch and canteen, and a display stand.

Available for preorder for $80, the One:12 Collective Captain America figure is expected to arrive sometime in August or September.

Wow, what a beautiful design. That tome is exactly how the movies should have interpreted Cap’s classic costume design. Very real-looking but true to form.
