Comics Covered
Comics, Covered | The best covers of the week
The theme this week apparently was revolvers, as they appear on three of my five favorite covers. Another two that didn’t make the final cut also sported guns. Make of that what you will.
DC Comics and its Wildstorm imprint took three of the spots, with Marvel filling out the remaining two.

Comics, Covered | The best covers of the week
I’m running a little late on a Thanksgiving weekend populated by visiting relatives, but I bring my selections for the five best covers to grace comic-book store shelves on Wednesday.
If that weren’t enough, I’ve rounded up links to interesting discussion and analysis of cover design, and to Amazon.com’s Best Covers of the Year (which includes some comics and comics folk).
This week’s list is populated by one title each from Dark Horse, Vertigo and Marvel proper, plus two from Marvel’s Icon imprint.

Comics, Covered | The best covers of the week
I’ve written a good deal at Robot 6 and elsewhere about comic-book cover art and design, but, unfortunately (for me at least), not so much in recent months. I hope “Comics, Covered” will remedy that, as each Saturday I select the six best covers — the most striking, the most successfully executed, the most intriguing — to grace the shelves that week.
This week’s list is filled with three comics from Marvel, one from Image, one from DC’s Wildstorm imprint and one that’s technically not a comic at all.
To find out what made the cut, read on.
