REVIEW: Violent, Profane "Deadpool" Shouldn't Work, But Really F---ing Does
As part of SC Comicon, a special Drink and Draw will be held Saturday at Quest Brewing Company in tribute to Dale. Proceeds will benefit Team Cul de Sac and The Hero Initiative, which was selected by Dale’s wife Kelly.
I first became aware of colorist Steve Downer due to his work on MonkeyBrain Comics’ Edison Rex. But as I quickly learned, he serves as colorist on a variety of projects, as well as artist on Dracula the Unconquered. Given the variety of Downer’s projects, I thought it would be insightful to discuss his craft with him.
Tim O’Shea: How long have you been a colorist?
Steve Downer: I’ve been working full-time as a colorist since 2009, though I started coloring as a side job much earlier, in 2007, while I worked as a T-shirt graphic designer.
Conventions | The Taipei Comics Exhibition drew 582,000 people this year, up from 560,000 last year, with more than 450 booths and appearances by 49 creators, 25 of them from Taiwan.
